Founded by cultural visionaries Loyiso Mdebuka and Vincent Manzini, Blank Kanvas was born out of a shared belief in the power of embracing multifaceted creativity as a vehicle for driving change. With decades of experience in the cultural and creative industries, they recognised a gap in the market for an agency that truly understands the South African youth. Together, they built Blank Kanvas—a collective of culture activists who don’t just market to the youth but let them speak for themselves.

Growing up in townships across Cape Town, Gqebera and Joburg exposed Loyiso to a melting pot of cultures and experiences and fostered a love for people and a respect for their options. Not one to let others dictate the outcome he has been a pioneer in everything he has set his mind to. Music is the cornerstone from which Loyiso operates within creative culture and it has been the key to opening a multitude of doors of opportunity.
As a leading tastemaker he has operated across both Radio and Television platforms as a sort after creator and execution partner. Very few manage to traverse between the boardroom and the DJ booth as successfully as Loyiso / LOYD who brings a unique skill set that has helped global brands bring solutions that advance their product stickiness and market perception.

You will be hard pressed to find someone with as much drive as Vincent. There is an undying passion that he brings to every experience and it’s infectious. Its this passion that pushed him to leave the structures of corporate back in 2008 to bring to life a vision he had for how his world should be.
An entrepreneurial powerhouse combined with a razor sharp eye for culture and an acute ear for strategic partnerships. This is where the magic happens. Through the multitude of collaborations Vincent has been a part of he has traversed the worlds of ad agencies, corporate marketing departments, start ups...worked on financial services, retail fashion brands, alcohol and lifestyle campaigns.
Using culture as the tool Vincent has impacted so many lives. This is evident in the support that he enlists in all the projects, businesses or activities he undertakes.
